Well, THAT was ugly!
Looks like the Butch Davis era didn't work out as well as thought back in 2001. It seems nobody remembers doubling the win total, the 33 interceptions (10 by then rookie Anthony Henry) or the feeling that Butch would bring multiple championships back to Cleveland. I guess it was a case of a little too much too early. I believe Butch's early success led to hubris. Maybe if he went 4-12 the first year, he may have listened to others. He could have avoided taking Gerard Warren, letting Roman Oben go (who along with Greg Spires won a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay), giving Ron Wolf the cold shoulder and had a better run.
Anyway, enough of looking back. 2005 poses a new season. New GM, new coach and possibly many new players.
